Kisses In The Rain

So many years have gone now,
Or was it yesterday,
Our journey here was started
With kisses in the rain?

Tentative at first it seemed,
Love, roses, and champaign,
We’d celebrate the joy we’d found
With kisses in the rain.

With time our lives did settle
A home now to sustain,
But the foundation strong beneath
Was kisses in the rain.

There have been times of great joy,
There were times filled with pain,
But always we’ve had memories
Of kisses in the rain.

The sands within life’s hourglass
Their flow we can’t restrain,
But time can’t dim the feeling of
Our kisses in the rain.

Now dark hair has turned silver,
And youthful time does wane,
But we still share joy and love
And kisses in the rain.
