Love's Rainbow

I spread my wings to greet the new born day,
Wings your love gives to me.
I hear the song whispered on a gentle breeze
As it caresses the morning gently

I sense the deep roots born of our love,
Roots that let me stand strong.
I feel the warmth of the bond that we share
Knowing here I will always belong.

I see the colors of the love that we share
Rainbow hues that paint our world.
Draping the world in gossamer shades
Like a rainbow softly unfurled.

Red sunrise at dawn, the crimson of passion.
Orange floral meadows, love’s golden glow.
Yellow sunlight, the light our love gives us.
Green meadows, like love, always will grow

Blue sparkling waters, life giving and rich
Indigo heavens, like love never-ending.
Violet blossoms, unequalled in beauty,
But like our love never demanding.

I spread my wings to greet the new born day,
Wings your love gives to me.
I reach out to touch the gifts of the day,
And a rainbow of love wraps around me
