~*~ What A Wonderful World ~ Louis Armstrong ~*~

The Princess

Photobucket

She calls out and I go to see
What the princess requires of me.
Her golden eyes look at me in distress
“More water, please, mine is not fresh”

These pillows are not quite right you see,
She needs them softly fluffed by me.
As I sip my coffee she looks perturbed,
Coffee can wait till her breakfast is served.

The curtains need opened to let in the sun
There she’ll warm in its light and smell the jasmine.
Keep to her schedule, make sure she’s alright
Insure that her day is filled with delight.

As night draws her curtains I’ll turn on the light
So that her world remains cheerful and bright.
And if I am blessed, before she does slumber
Her gold eyes will smile in flashes of amber

She curl up beside me as sleep claims her eyes
And her breathing drifts to soft sleepy sighs
Then before to sleep she does softly demure
She will grace me with a soft sleepy purr.
