You Were There

Not every angel has wings we can see, We may not see a halo or flowing robe of white, But we can depend on them to always be there, And trust that they will fill our life with light. No matter when I was in need or unsure what to do, No matter what I needed somehow I always knew, I had only to ask or to reach out my hand For there at my side I would always find you. Through all the years - times great and small, Through all of life's laughter and smiles, When the tears fell or I felt lost and alone, You stood by me through life's joys and trials.
