She stretched and yawned - slowly waking. "Oh, I feel so wonderful today."
As quickly as the thought formed she bolted instantly awake. "I DO feel
wonderful she thought - how can that be?" Then she began to notice - where
was she - and how did she come to be here?
She tried very hard to remember, but there was nothing after Chris' tears - the
pain of a heart breaking. "I must have fallen asleep - but where has Chris taken
us - and where is Chris?" Where she found herself was lovely - more lovely
than she had ever seen. Daddy was nowhere to be seen and she began to feel
uneasy - Chris was never far. She saw a shadow growing in the distance,
thinking it was her Chris she bounded towards it. As she got closer she realized
it was not a single figure - it was many, many figures. She stopped, wondering
where she could hide, there were so many and all manner of beings - dogs, cats,
birds, monkeys, ferrets, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and so many others she
had never seen. They quickly overtook her - every one of them seeming so excited
to see her - and she felt terrified. She had never had to be with anyone but her Chris
what did they want, what would they expect? "please," she thought, "just go away."
and tears began to form.
She noticed, as if an answer to her plea, they all fell silent. Slowly a path formed
through them. She had no idea what manner of being this one was though he looked
like he might be a dog, but he was huge and with his thick silver fur he was lovely.
Somehow she knew this one she could trust and she moved to his protection. "It's ok
little one - they mean to be friendly - just a bit over excited that you are here and a
bit to friendly" and he gave the others a look that told them to give the newcomer
some space and allow her time to adjust.
“Please, where is my Chris?” Trixie asked the Silver One, “Why am I here
alone?” The Silver One nuzzled Trixie gently, “It is not Chris’ time yet - when
it is time you will know, you will meet here” “But where is ‘here’ and when will we meet? What am I to do until them?”, asked Trixie.
The Silver One eased Trixie out to find all eyes on her - all looking concerned
- all glowing with love. “You are not alone - we are all here for you - we are
family. Chris will join you, but not just yet. For now you will live here with us at
Rainbow Bridge and when your Chris comes you will go together to heaven and
be always together. For right now the rest will teach you how to visit and leave
signs, and they will show you all around Rainbow Bridge. Shall I introduce you?”
and as the Silver One led the way Trixie nodded and let the love and calm wash
over her.
